Mukulu Oral Bible Translation (OBT)
1. Background
The Mukulu Oral Bible Translation (OBT) Project was launched on 10 June 2024 with the aim of translating the Holy Scriptures into the Mukulu language in an oral format. The project seeks to provide Mukulu-speaking communities with access to God's Word in a language they understand best, enabling them to hear, understand, and apply biblical truths in their daily lives.
The project follows internationally recognized Bible translation standards that ensure the translated Scriptures are accurate, clear, natural, and acceptable to the Mukulu-speaking community.

4. Translation Progress
Since the commencement of the project on 10 June 2024, the translation team has made encouraging progress in translating the New Testament.

- Draft translation completed.
- The entire book is currently at the Consultant Checking Stage.
Gospel of Luke
- Draft translation completed.
- The book is currently at the Consultant Checking Stage with only fourteen sections remaining to be approved.
Gospel of Mark
- Translation has progressed significantly.
- Seven sections have reached the consultant checking stage.
- Other sections are currently pending community checking before consultant review.
Book of Acts
- Drafting is currently in progress.

The Mukulu Oral Bible Translation (OBT) Project has made remarkable progress since its launch on 10 June 2024.
